CEF Explorer (cefexplorer.com) is an educational research database about U.S.-exchange-listed closed-end funds, published by the operator of this website (legal entity name to be confirmed before public launch). By using the site you agree to these terms.

2. No advice, no offer

Nothing on the site is investment, tax, legal or accounting advice, a recommendation, or an offer or solicitation to buy or sell any security. Rankings, screens and calculators are descriptive tools. You are responsible for your own decisions and should rely on each fund's official documents and, where appropriate, a licensed professional.

3. Data and accuracy

Data is compiled from third-party providers and public filings. It may be delayed, incomplete, estimated or revised, and we do not warrant its accuracy, completeness or timeliness. Each figure carries its own date and source; delayed market data is labelled as such. Historical results do not predict future results.

4. Permitted use

You may use the site for personal, non-commercial research. You may not scrape, harvest, redistribute, resell or republish the data, build a competing database from it, or use automated tools that burden the service. CSV exports are for your own research. Third-party data on this site is licensed to us and not sub-licensed to you.

5. Intellectual property

Original text, design, methodology descriptions and compilations are owned by the operator. Fund names and trademarks belong to their owners; their use here is nominative. Third-party news headlines link to their publishers and remain theirs.

6. Availability and changes

The service may change or be interrupted at any time. Features described as planned may never ship.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for any loss arising from use of, or reliance on, the site or its data, including investment losses, lost profits, or data errors. Where liability cannot be excluded it is limited to the amount you paid to use the site, which is nil.
