Privacy Policy

Draft for legal review. This policy was prepared for CEF Explorer and has not yet been reviewed by qualified counsel. It does not claim that the operator of this website (legal entity name to be confirmed before public launch) is registered, unregistered, exempt or licensed in any capacity.

What we collect

  • Server logs: IP address, user agent, requested pages and times, retained for security and capacity planning for up to 30 days.
  • Page-view counts per fund (no IP stored) to compute the “trending” list.
  • Search terms (aggregated daily counts, not tied to you) to improve search.
  • Contact messages you send, with the IP address at submission, kept until resolved and then for up to 24 months.
  • Analytics: if enabled, Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymisation; see the cookie section.

What we do not collect

There are no user accounts. Your watchlist and comparison list are stored in your own browser (local storage) and are never sent to us. We do not sell personal data.

Cookies and similar technologies

The site sets no cookies for ordinary use. An administrator session cookie is set only for site staff. If analytics or advertising are enabled, their providers may set cookies; where required by law you will be asked for consent before non-essential cookies are set, and you can withdraw consent from the same control.

Advertising

If advertising is enabled, ad providers may process pseudonymous identifiers. Any such programme and its privacy terms will be named here before it goes live.

Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data and to object to processing. Use the contact page; we will verify and respond within the statutory period.

Children

The site is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We will post changes here with a new date. Material changes to data practices will be announced on the site.
