Fees, leverage and coverage
Where the numbers come from and the denominators behind each percentage.
Expenses: Inline XBRL facts from N-2 registration statements and shareholder reports (cef:TotalAnnualExpensesPercent, ManagementFeesPercent, OtherAnnualExpensesPercent, InterestExpensesOnBorrowingsPercent, NetExpenseOverAssetsPercent and related). Basis: percent of net assets attributable to common shares. Funds without tagged data show “Not reported”.
Leverage: senior securities outstanding (borrowings plus preferred) from the same source. Leverage % of managed assets = senior securities ÷ (common net assets + senior securities). Leverage % of common net assets is shown alongside. Asset coverage per $1,000 unit is the fund’s reported figure.
NII coverage = net investment income ÷ common distributions for the same period, shown only for income strategies and only from reported same-period figures. Equity, option-writing and private-asset strategies show “Not applicable”. Automated ingestion of NII/UNII from shareholder reports is on the feature-status page as work in progress.
